My first professional design work, FIFA 10 on the Wii, at Electronic Arts.

Overview

This was my first professional job in the industry. I was hired on by Electronic Arts as a co-op student on the design team and was kept on after I finished University.

The main skills I learned on this project were how to rapidly iterate on wireframes, and how to properly communicate my designs.

Designs and Documentation

Here you can see a finished mockup from one of the menu screens, plus a wireframe for the Team Central feature.

And inthis design document, you can see the final mockup for the Team Central feature, as well as the level of detail I went into in order to communicate those designs to the rest of the team. The original document was 16 pages long but this should give you a good idea.

What I Took Away

I gained a lot of new knowledge, some professional experience, and a good start to my career.

What I Took Away (1 of 1)
Previous FIFA 11 On FIFA 11 I worked with the design and production team, writing Career Mode news stories, setting up tournaments, and answering questions from the translation team in Spain. Next E-Create e-Create is a university project: a site where people search for recipes to turn old, unwanted items into something new.
